Responsible Gaming "Code of Conduct" Revised and Re-Released by American Gaming Association

  • Spread The News

The American Gaming Assocation (AGA) released an updated Code of Conduct for Responsible Gaming in January. Highlights of the revisions include best practices about Internet marketing, email communications and social media platforms, as well as acknowledgments regarding new technology and how it changes the way gaming companies interact with customers.

The Code, a landmark document that celebrates its 10th anniversary in 2013, is considered a living document by its authors, the AGA. It was developed to serve as a model for the development of comprehensive responsible gaming programs and addresses subjects including employee training, the prevention of underage gambling, responsible alcohol service, and responsible marketing and advertising. It is referred to by responsible gaming organizations both in the U.S. and internationally.

For more information on the revised Code, for educational materials related to it or to download a copy of the new brochure, please visit the Code of Conduct page on the AGA's website.
